Tom Lally gave his classification talk. He now works in the insurance industry at GHB Insurance and enjoys bike riding, hiking and reading.
 
President Wendy told us about the Rotary Point Park upcoming picnic. She also said we would be voting 8-29 on whether to allow group memberships to join or not.
 
Steve Bean did the auction and got $20 for the eggs from Warren Carlson and $50 from Jewell Goddard for a signed baseball that went to the Fred Balz fund.
 
Oscar Soule gave an excellent program about Ken Griffey's induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He had Steve Bean draw from the hat a name of a kid that was going to go down on the field at the upcoming Rainiers game.  The winner was Cole Dornan, a grandson of president Wendy.
 
Oscar said that Cooperstown is where the Hall of fame is located and they have had the same population for 150 years (some are still in rotary!!!) Oscar had a great time and shared lots of adventures while there. He was invited to go on some special tours and said that all the items in the hall were donated.
 
While he was in the archive section he got to hold and see lots of old baseball artifacts. He was also invited to the actual plaque installation. He said Piazza gave a great speech but Griffey just cried and thanked people!!!
