Happy Bucks:
- Larry Poplack – Returned from Europe trip. Italian Olive Oil: the real thing has acidity between 0 and .8% and only comes from one place/country.
- Kim Dinsmore - Had a ruptured appendix and found he also has cancer. He thanked the club for the support and well wishes. He’s feeling great; he’s going to Hawaii and then will have surgery and chemotherapy when he gets back.
- Heidi Schaiberger - Bought her first house and got a puppy which is trying to destroy the house.
- Debra Stephens - Daughter moved to Nicaragua to teach.
- Colleen Gillespie - Went to Lake Chelan and ran into former Olympia Rotarian.
- Preston Troy - Marked a milestone: he’s visited 47 countries!
- Ralph Munroe - Gave a Polio update: Congress has strong support for the program and will probably not see funding reduced. Currently there are 11 worldwide cases.
- Fred Adair – Birthday bucks.
- Carolyn Manger – Birthday bucks; she’s going to Budapest for a couple weeks

Auction
Nick Schmidt donated 4 tickets to the Huskies vs. Ducks game. Steve Bean auctioned them off for $220, the winning bid came from Mark Boyer.
Making a Difference
Christy Peters presented the Making a Difference Award to Heidi Schaiberger for her work on the Marathon.
Cool Jazz, Clean Water
Karina Phillips gave an update. Volunteer sign-up sheets are on each table. T-shirts are for sale. The event will be November 18 with schools competing in the morning and wine tasting in the evening.
Program: Port Commissioner Candidate Forum
The Olympia Rotary Club hosted a candidate’s forum for Port Commissioner. Jim Cooper served as debate moderator. The debate was live streamed on Facebook and can be viewed here.
Mr. Snappy Winner:
Mr. Snappy was won by Ned Owens. The prize was $20 gift certificate to Eagan’s Drive In, donated by Sarah and Adam Soule.
