            Parents of student scholarship recipients were welcomed
            Jennifer Boelts – Career and College Counselor from Olympia High School
Announcements/Club Business:
President Wendy offered a moment of silence to honor Charlotte Foster who recently passed away from multiple myeloma.  There is no word of services yet.
Bill Lahmann gave a reminder that volunteers are still needed for upcoming Trials Legacy Marathon – sign-up sheets will be available soon.  We need someone with a pick-up to set cones on the marathon route.
Judy Henderson announced that, back by popular demand, there will an opportunity to purchase some “Summer Bling” and clothing.
President Wendy reminded us that June 26th will be “Tie One On!” day.  Please bring your ties and scarves to share with other Rotarians (Jim Leonard brought in 68 ties!).
Fred Adair – asked each of us to consider contributing to Polio Plus as part of our Annual Giving Goals.
“Dream Catchers” - President Wendy asked that we channel all of our great ideas for future Rotary projects through Kalo Wilcox (
The last board meeting of the Rotary year will be on June 21 at the Hotel RL.

Program:  Mark Boyer, chair of the Scholarship Committee, thanked the committee members for their hard work.  The scholarship committee took a very active role this year in selecting the award recipients, narrowing the 170 total applicants down to the final winners.  Ultimately, over $26,000 in scholarships is being given to deserving students at OHS.

President Wendy thanked the students for their thoughtful “thank you” speeches that reflected the values of Rotary:  wanting to give back and the opportunity to contribute to the world.  She asked the students to come back and see us. . .  they are our future, and we want to stay in touch!
Mr. Snappy:  Brian Martin won a lovely strand of green fresh-water pearls from China (donated by Barbara Soule).
